Scenic Eclipse is what happens when a luxury Australian touring company decides there is no existing cruise product that meets its standards — and builds its own. The result is two ships that took the concept of expedition cruising and reimagined it from the ground up: a six-star hotel at sea, a submarine beneath it, two helicopters above it, and a fleet of Zodiacs at water level. The phrase “four-dimensional discovery” sounds like marketing until you understand what it actually delivers.

Both ships carry up to 228 guests across 114 suites, all with private verandas and butler service. The near 1:1 space-to-guest ratio is among the most generous in the category. Up to ten dining experiences on Scenic Eclipse, nine on Scenic Eclipse II — all included. All 110 premium whiskies in the whisky lounge, included. Flights, transfers, excursions, gratuities, and a stocked daily minibar — all included. The only exceptions in the entire fare are helicopter tours, submarine excursions, and spa treatments, which carry additional charges.

This is the most comprehensive, all-inclusive offering in ultra-luxury cruising. Not the most all-inclusive in expedition cruising, in all of ultra-luxury cruising. No other line comes close to this combination of inclusion breadth and expedition capability.

The third Discovery Yacht, Scenic Ikon, joins the fleet in April 2028 — larger at 270 guests with 15 dining venues and a new generation of both helicopters and submersible. Inaugural voyages from Venice have already sold out.
