THE MEMORII PERSPECTIVE

What Crystal Cruises is, and what it includes

Crystal Cruises has been the standard-bearer of all-inclusive luxury ocean cruising for over three decades. Founded in 1988, the brand accumulated more World’s Best awards than any other cruise line in history before its original operator filed for bankruptcy in 2022. The brand was acquired by A&K Travel Group the same year and relaunched in 2023 following a combined $150 million refurbishment of both ships.

The Crystal that returned is very much the Crystal guests remembered — butler service for every guest in every room and suite category, one of the highest crew-to-guest ratios at sea, all-inclusive dining and beverages, and an onboard atmosphere that feels more like a private club than a cruise ship. What is new is the hardware: fully refurbished interiors, expanded suites, and updated dining concepts that have sharpened the experience considerably.

The dining programme is genuinely distinctive. Umi Uma is the only restaurant at sea operated under the Nobu Matsuhisa name — Peruvian-Japanese fusion cuisine from one of the most celebrated culinary figures in the world. Osteria d’Ovidio delivers menus by the Michelin-starred Alajmo brothers. Beefbar brings the only Beefbar at sea. These are not celebrity endorsements in name only — they are fully operational, regularly updated dining programmes.

Crystal Grace, the first Crystal newbuild in 25 years, joins the fleet in 2028 — 650 guests, all-suite, all-veranda, built by Fincantieri. Two further sister ships follow in 2030 and 2032. Crystal is building again, and the direction is clear.

IS CRYSTAL CRUISES RIGHT FOR YOU

The guests Crystal
is made for

Crystal is not the right answer for everyone. In our experience, the guests who love it most share a few things in common.

Guests who value butler service as a given for every cabin and suite category — not reserved for premium tiers, but standard for every single guest on board

Those drawn to the finest culinary programme in the category — Nobu at Umi Uma, the Alajmo brothers at Osteria d’Ovidio, and Beefbar, all at sea and all included

Experienced luxury travellers who hold Crystal loyalty — returning Crystal Society members consistently cite the crew and the onboard atmosphere as what brings them back

Guests who want genuine space at sea — Crystal maintains one of the highest space-per-guest ratios in the category, and the atmosphere on board never feels crowded

Travellers drawn to world cruises and grand voyages — Crystal’s world cruise programme is among the most respected in the category, with voyages of up to 140 nights

Those looking forward to Crystal Grace in 2028 — the first Crystal newbuild in 25 years carries the brand’s full philosophy into entirely new all-suite, all-veranda hardware

Crystal carries more guests than Silversea’s smaller ships or Seabourn — Crystal Serenity at 1,080 guests is mid-sized by ultra-luxury standards. For guests who want the most intimate possible ship, Silversea or Ponant may be a closer fit. Tell us how you travel and we will tell you honestly whether Crystal is the right choice for your voyage.

WHAT DEFINES CRYSTAL CRUISES

Six things that make
Crystal, Crystal

The signature moments and programmes that define what life aboard Seabourn feels like — two of which you will not find on any other cruise line.

UMI UMA BY NOBU

ONLY AT SEA

Umi Uma — the only Nobu restaurant afloat

Umi Uma is the only restaurant at sea operated under the Nobu Matsuhisa name. Chef Nobu’s signature Peruvian-Japanese fusion cuisine — the same philosophy behind his celebrated restaurants worldwide — is delivered on board as a full dining experience. On voyages of up to 11 days, one complimentary reservation per guest is included. On longer voyages, additional complimentary reservations are included. Penthouse and Junior Penthouse guests enjoy unlimited dining at Umi Uma.

We pre-book Umi Uma reservations for every Memorii client as soon as the booking window opens.

BUTLER FOR EVERY GUEST

STANDARD FOR ALL

Butler service — every room and suite

On Crystal, butler service is not a category upgrade or a premium tier benefit. Every guest in every room and suite category — from the entry-level Guest Room with Veranda to the Crystal Penthouse — has a dedicated butler. This is a structural commitment that shapes the entire onboard experience. Combined with one of the highest crew-to-guest ratios in the category, the service level on Crystal is consistently described by returning guests as the single most compelling reason they come back.

Standard across both ships. No upgrade required.

OSTERIA D’OVIDIO & BEEFBAR

ONLY AT SEA

The only Beefbar at sea. Michelin-starred Italian dining.

Osteria d’Ovidio delivers menus by the Michelin-starred Alajmo brothers — Massimiliano and Raffaele Alajmo, whose restaurant Le Calandre near Venice holds three Michelin stars. Beefbar brings its celebrated steak concept to sea as the only Beefbar in the world operating on a cruise ship. Both are included in the Crystal all-inclusive fare within the same complimentary reservation structure as Umi Uma. Together with Nobu, these three dining programmes give Crystal the most celebrated culinary roster of any cruise line.

Complimentary reservations included — additional reservations at $75 per person above the allotment.

WORLD CRUISE PROGRAMME

INDUSTRY LEADING

World cruises — up to 140 nights

Crystal’s world cruise programme is one of the most acclaimed in the category. The 2027 World Cruise on Crystal Serenity spans 140 nights, visiting 83 destinations across 29 countries on 4 continents. The 2029 World Cruise on Crystal Symphony departs January 7, 2029 — a 127-night voyage from Melbourne ending in New York City. Grand Voyages of 40 to 70 nights allow guests who cannot commit to the full circumnavigation to join for a specific region. Business class air allowances and onboard credits are included on select world cruise fares.

World cruise suites sell out well in advance. Contact your Memorii advisor to register interest early.

CRYSTAL GRACE — 2028

JOINING JUNE 2028

Crystal Grace — the first newbuild in 25 years

Crystal Grace is the first Crystal newbuild in 25 years — 61,800 gross tonnes, 650 guests at double occupancy, 337 all-veranda suites, built by Fincantieri in Italy. Delivery is planned for May 2028, with the inaugural voyage departing June 11, 2028. The ship introduces the first-ever Crystal Owner’s Suite — a combined 3,915 square feet of interior and veranda space. Crystal Grace carries the full dining programme including Umi Uma, Beefbar, and Osteria d’Ovidio. Two further sister ships follow in 2030 and 2032.

Inaugural season booking opened in April 2026. Contact your Memorii advisor — early availability is limited.

SPACE & THE PROMENADE DECK

A CRYSTAL SIGNATURE

The full-perimeter promenade deck

Crystal ships are designed around space — one of the highest space-per-guest ratios in ultra-luxury cruising, expansive public areas, and a continuous full-perimeter promenade deck that wraps the entire exterior of the ship for leisurely ocean-view walks. This feature, carried forward onto Crystal Grace, is one of the defining physical experiences of a Crystal voyage and something guests who have sailed before consistently mention as a reason they return. It is a simple thing, but nothing else quite replicates the feeling of walking a full circuit of the ship at sea.

The full-perimeter promenade deck is a feature of Crystal Symphony, Crystal Serenity, and Crystal Grace.

MEMORII SUITE GUIDE — CRYSTAL CRUISES

Choosing the right
Crystal suite

Butler service is included in every room and suite category — it is not a tier benefit. The choice is about size, veranda access, and the enhanced dining and service inclusions that come with the higher suite categories.

Suite Category Veranda Memorii Notes
Aquamarine Veranda Suite Entry-level suite with private veranda, butler service, and full Crystal all-inclusive experience. The right starting point for first-time Crystal guests. Ask your Memorii advisor about deck position and ship.
Sapphire Veranda Suite ★ Meaningfully larger than the Aquamarine, with a delineated living and dining space. A worthwhile upgrade on voyages of seven nights or more. Wraparound verandas available on select accommodations.
Junior Penthouse Suite ★★ 740 to 845 sq ft with separate living and dining areas, Jacuzzi bathtub, and large veranda. Unlimited specialty dining at Umi Uma, Osteria d’Ovidio, and Beefbar included. The threshold at which specialty dining becomes unlimited.
Crystal Penthouse Suite ★★ Up to 909 sq ft with a walk-in closet, separate lounge and dining area, and large veranda. Unlimited specialty dining, unlimited laundry, afternoon canaés, and enhanced suite services. One of the finest suites currently sailing.

Our advice: Butler service and the full all-inclusive experience are the same across all categories — the key decision is size and the specialty dining threshold. Junior Penthouse and above includes unlimited specialty dining at all three celebrity restaurants, which changes the value equation significantly on voyages of seven nights or more. Speak to your Memorii advisor before selecting — deck position and ship matter on Crystal.
