The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection is the most compelling answer to a question the luxury hotel market has been asking for years: what would a Ritz-Carlton look like if it sailed? The answer, it turns out, looks exactly like what you would expect — residential-style suites, intuitive service, and an atmosphere that feels closer to a private yacht than a traditional cruise ship.
All three yachts carry fewer guests than almost any ship in the category. Evrima is the most intimate at 298 guests. Ilma and Luminara are larger at 448 and 452 guests respectively, but still boutique by any cruise standard. Every single suite — across all three yachts — has a private ocean-view terrace. There are no interior rooms, no partial views, no tiers of access to the outside. The design principle is consistent: every guest wakes up to the sea.
The fare is all-inclusive except for the S.E.A. specialty restaurant and shore excursions. Dining, beverages including fine wines and spirits, gratuities, Starlink Wi-Fi, and the marina watersports platform are all included. Across all three yachts — Evrima, Ilma, and Luminara — every suite has a private ocean-view terrace. No interior rooms. No partial views. No upgrade required to reach the outside. The residential design of the suites was inspired by The Ritz-Carlton Residences in Sunny Isles Beach and Miami Beach: open-concept, natural materials, and the feeling of a private home rather than a hotel room.

THE MARINA PLATFORM

Aft marina — direct ocean access
The signature aft marina platform on every yacht lowers to the waterline when at anchor, giving guests direct access to the sea for non-motorised watersports — included in the fare. Paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming from the platform. It is a feature borrowed from private superyacht design that changes the relationship between the ship and the destination entirely. When at anchor, the marina becomes the centre of the yacht’s daytime life.

S.E.A. — THREE MICHELIN STARS
PREMIUM SURCHARGE
S.E.A. — Chef Sven Elverfeld’s tasting menu
S.E.A. is the only dining venue on the yachts not included in the standard fare. It is an intimate multi-course European tasting menu overseen by Chef Sven Elverfeld, whose restaurant Aqua at The Ritz-Carlton Wolfsburg holds three Michelin stars. Reservations are required and a surcharge applies. The four included restaurants on Evrima — The Evrima Room, Talaat Nam, Mistral, and The Pool House — are all excellent and fully included. Ilma and Luminara feature additional dining venues, all included.

Ilma, the second yacht in the collection, became the world’s first Forbes Five-Star rated cruise ship when she debuted in September 2024. At 790 feet and 448 guests across 224 suites, she is significantly larger than Evrima while retaining the boutique feel. Ilma introduced enhanced pool decks, larger suites, and additional amenities compared to the inaugural yacht. For guests choosing between the three yachts, Ilma is frequently described as the sweet spot of the fleet.
